Mr. Craton is currently accepting new students for private instruction in violin, viola, piano, recorder, and classical mandolin. Lessons are open for students of all ages, from beginner to advanced, and will be individually structured for each student’s needs. Lessons may be scheduled in thirty or sixty-minute blocks. Instruction will be provided in a studio at Mr. Craton’s home, and appropriate assignments will be given to help each student achieve the best results in developing proper musical technique and interpretative ability.
Mr. Craton also is available for commissioned works as a composer. More information about his musical works can be accessed from the “Compositions” link below.
[SPECIAL NOTE]: Lessons during the Covid-19 pandemic — My studio follows current state guidelines for hygiene during the period of the pandemic. At present this includes spacing lessons a minimum of 30 minutes apart, during which time all areas of contact (doorknobs, music stands, keyboards, etc.) are sanitized before the arrival of the next student. During lessons we maintain “social distancing,” and I wear a mask during the lesson time. (Masks are optional for students, seeing as our lessons are one-on-one and not in a class setting.) These guidelines are subject to change as the state revises its recommendations over time. If anyone has any questions or concerns, I encourage them to discuss them with me.
